A few highlights from last year's Parent Information Fair.

Launch of the CCA & Cobra Sports Information Page

Registration for our upcoming activities begins on Friday, 28 August through the Ding! module on the ESF App. Ahead of this date, we are excited to introduce a significant enhancement to our co-curricular resources. Our previous handbook has been transformed into a dynamic, interactive CCA & Cobra Sports Information page, now easily accessible through the Parent Portal.

Enhanced Features

  • Customised Filtering: Navigate extracurricular options effortlessly by filtering according to your child’s year level, personal interests, and weekly schedule.

  • Comprehensive Activity Profiles: Discover a detailed breakdown of each sport, club, and ensemble to ensure an informed choice before the enrolment period opens.

  • Centralised Hub: Find everything in one place, from enrolment instructions and key dates to bus registration and cancellation policies.

We invite you to visit the Parent Portal to explore these interactive resources and begin a collaborative journey of planning your child's upcoming term.

Year 5 Cultural Museum

Year 5 had a wonderful time visiting our Culture Museum, which was the provocation for our ‘Who We Are’ unit of inquiry. The children explored and celebrated the many diverse cultures represented across our school community and around the world. They enjoyed learning about Manx myths, discovering how to write their names in Thai, and making shortbreak cookies, among many other learning engagements.

Such experiences support students develop curiosity, respect and appreciation for different cultures. It was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate our shared identities, unique traditions and the rich diversity that makes our school community so special.

Year 13 Collaborative Sciences Project

The Collaborative Sciences Project (CSP) is an exciting challenge where students work in science teams to tackle a real-world problem using the scientific method.

On Thursday and Friday this week, Year 13 students worked together, shared ideas, and had lots of fun. They used what they learned in their individual subjects to develop creative ideas and possible solutions. The CSP celebrates the learning journey, from initial ideation, testing of these ideas, analysing evidence, and learning through group discussion and decision making. By working as a team they build on each other's ideas, deepen their own understanding, and strengthen skills including critical thinking, communication and collaboration.
