Parent Information Fair: Tuesday, 1 September 2026

Following the school closure on 27 August due to the Red Rainstorm signal, our annual Parent Information Fair will now take place on Tuesday, 1 September (4:00pm – 7:30pm).

Whether you are new to DC or returning, this parents-only evening is a vital opportunity to meet your child’s teachers, ask questions, and preview the upcoming school year. Please mark the new date in your calendar and visit our Parent Information Fair Website for a full overview of the schedule.

We look forward to welcoming you to campus on 1 September!

Enrolment for Term 1 CCAs

Enrolment for Term 1 CCAs are now open. Please complete enrolment by 10pm, Sunday, 6 September.

We are pleased to share that an overview of this academic year's CCA programme is now available on the Parent Portal. Please keep in mind that activities planned for later in the year may be adjusted depending on student interest and available resources.

We are aware that the ESF app is currently experiencing some issues, and we apologise for any frustration this is causing. Our team is actively working to resolve this as quickly as possible. Please be rest assured that there is no urgency to complete your CCA applications right away, all enrolments are treated equally, and early submission does not provide an advantage.

The following Co-curricular activities will open for enrolment:

  • General CCAs
  • Student-led CCAs
  • Primary Cobra Sports

Term 1 CCA dates:

  • Monday, 21 September 2026 - CCAs commence
  • Friday, 4 December 2026 - CCAs end

To enrol:

Primary students

-  Parents complete enrolment directly via the Ding VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) found in the ESF Mobile dashboard.

Secondary students

 - Students enrol in their Ding! platform.

Parents are required to "approve" their child’s enrolment in the Ding VLE mobile app.

A Ding! VLE enrolment guide is available here.

Peri-Music Programme

Enrolment for our Peripatetic Music programme is now closed and tutors have been busy scheduling timetables for Semester 1. If you missed the registration deadline, or have not yet been contacted by a music tutor, please email cca@dc.edu.hk.

**IMPORTANT** Enrolling for a CCA does not guarantee a place in the activity. The status "Allocated" next to an activity name only acknowledges your interest; it is not a confirmation of available space in the CCA.

Students who are enrolled and accepted into a CCA programme will receive acceptance confirmation from the CCA Team.

Due to the high demand for CCAs, we ask for your patience while waiting for a response. Enrolment will remain open for activities which have availability throughout the term.

Upcoming Parent Education Workshops

ESF CEO, Belinda Greer, visits DC Campus

We were delighted to host ESF CEO Belinda Greer to the College this morning, offering a wonderful opportunity to showcase student learning and our vibrant community spirit.

Guided by Tasha (Year 6) and Villi (Year 12), Ms Greer took a tour of our classrooms, and viewed some key facility enhancements, including our Primary multi-sensory rooms, Upgraded Chinese room, and a refreshed staff room to name just a few.

The highlight of the morning was her interaction with our students and staff, capturing the shared sense of belonging that defines Discovery College.

DC Students Spotlight: Hair Donation

At Discovery College, we encourage our students to look for opportunities to give back, by using what they already have to make a real difference.

DC students, Hazel from Year 11 and Faina from Year 8, recently put this into practice in a deeply meaningful way. Realising that a routine haircut could bring comfort and confidence to medical patients undergoing treatment, they chose to donate their hair to be made into wigs. They have been donating for the last 4 years. Apart from hair donation, the girls have also been involved in virtual story telling for underpriviledged kids and helping kids with special needs.

Hazel: "There is a long way for me to go until Iam actually helping cancer patients directly but
my hair donation is one step towards the right direction".

Faina: "Knowing the person who will receive my hair is happy, then I am happy"

Stories like Hazel and Faina's reflect the heart of our DC community, where everyday acts of empathy consistently create a ripple effect of kindness beyond our school walls.
