At Discovery College, we recognise that co-curricular activities play a vital role in fostering well-rounded development. Our extensive range of offerings allows every student to explore their interests and discover new passions beyond the classroom.
In addition to sports and music, detailed below, students can participate in an enormous range of engaging clubs and activities. Examples include chess, where they can sharpen their strategic thinking, and LEGO, which encourages creativity and engineering skills through hands-on projects. Our media club provides opportunities for students to delve into digital storytelling and content creation, while mindfulness sessions promote wellbeing and stress management.
For those with a flair for the arts, our clay modeling activities allow students to express their creativity and develop fine motor skills. We also offer academic enrichment programmes in areas like coding and debate, enabling students to deepen their knowledge and enhance critical thinking.

Cobra Sports
Sport plays a central role in the extra-curricular life of Discovery College and provides every student with the opportunity to develop to the very best of their physical ability. Every student should be able to practise their sporting interests, which helps develop healthy, active lifestyles and social interaction.

The Cobra Sports programme follows the HKPSSA, ISSFHK and ACAMIS Sports seasons in order to provide regular, high quality fixtures for students of varying abilities. We aim to provide every sport with a minimum of one training session per week and fixtures during their sports season. Each team is also allocated a dedicated training space and sports coach.

Music
Students have a broad range of opportunities to participate in music-making at Discovery College. Choral and instrumental ensembles rehearse weekly and perform regularly at College assemblies and concerts. We also have an annual concert schedule that includes formal concerts as well as fun informal concerts around the college and spread throughout the academic year. The music department has excellent facilities for students to participate in student-directed bands or individual practice. There is a Recording Studio and Music Technology hardware for students to record and produce music as part of their curriculum units or student-led projects.
Instrumental Music Programme
There is an extensive instrumental music programme at the College, providing students access to lessons from experienced and quality peripatetic teachers at a competitive rate. Instrument hire is also available for a range of instruments. Please email musicprogramme@dc.edu.hk to receive this list.
